Cartesian impedance control with damping on

This 2010 video shows the performance of a Cartesian impedance controller for the torque-controlled KUKA-LWR robot holding an extra payload when the damping term is active in the controller. The transient response to a contact force (a human pushing on the end-effector) is very short and free of oscillations.
